Let’s get to the Philadelphia Eagles links …

UCLA football players demand protection from ‘injustices’ amid pandemic return – Los Angeles Times
After a virtual team meeting Thursday night, 30 UCLA football players united in support behind a document they believe will protect them in their upcoming return to campus amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The document, reviewed by the Los Angeles Times late Thursday, asserts that players do not trust UCLA to act in their best interest, particularly in regard to their health, a realm where it says the school has “perpetually failed us,” citing “neglected and mismanaged injury cases.” The document does not provide examples. The players demanded that a “third-party health official” be on hand for all football activities to see that protocols for COVID-19 prevention are being followed; that anonymous whistleblower protections are provided for athletes and staff to report violations; and that each player can make a decision about whether to come back to Westwood without fear of losing his scholarship or other retaliation. […] Elliott said players were informed in meetings Wednesday and Thursday that the school would create an online portal that would allow them to report anonymously to the school’s faculty athletic representative, Dr. Michael Teitell. That assurance was not enough to keep 30 players from Chip Kelly’s program — a list that includes starting quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson — from convening a video conference Thursday night to complete their document. For hours, they debated about what they would collectively use as leverage to achieve their goals.

Eagles Notebook – Iggles Blitz
The good news here is that you’re not asking Dillard to fix something impossible. Adding bulk and adding muscle is common among young OL. Adjusting to the physicality of the NFL is a common issue. It would certainly help if Dillard had a full, normal offseason, but that’s not the case this year. At least he does have veteran teammates to lean on so that he knows what to do and how to do it. This offseason will tell us about which young players really wanted to make it. Tough, motivated players will work out on their own and find a way to address their weaknesses. Dillard is off to a good start.

The Buccaneers’ pathetic attempt to troll the Eagles – NBCSP
Apparently, when your franchise hasn’t accomplished anything in recent memory, the best you can do is celebrate a game that occurred nearly two decades ago. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, one of the worst franchises in football in recent years, are holding what they’re calling a “Shut Down the Vet Rewatch Party” Sunday afternoon to commemorate their 2002 NFC Championship Game win over the Eagles in the last game played at Veterans Stadium. As troll attempts go, this one is pretty lame. Especially when you look at what the two franchises have done since that 2002 season.

10 Philly play-by-play announcers share their favorite calls, do-overs and more – The Athletic
I was nervous going into that (final) play, not so much because of what would happen in the game. I was nervous because we were seated in the exact opposite end zone. We were 110 yards away from where that play was going to take place, and I didn’t want to be the broadcaster who blew the Super Bowl call. But I saw it clearly as day and I was able to say the pass is incomplete, then I’m able to look up and see double zeros on the clock and the game was over, the Philadelphia Eagles have won the Super Bowl. … After I said that, I said, “Eagles fans everywhere, this is for you.” Then I stopped and said, “Let the celebration begin.” That’s just what came out of my mouth in that moment.

Top NFL Targets at each position for 6-game slate on June 21st – DraftKings Nation
DeSean Jackson, Eagles ($4,800) vs. Panthers. Can we get a fourth-straight 18+ DK points game from Jackson today? Maybe, maybe not, but the price and upside are worth taking a gamble on if you need a player under 5k.

One oddsmaker has the Cowboys with the third-best non-Jets odds to land Jamal Adams – Blogging The Boys
If Adams were to join a team on this list that wasn’t the Cowboys, there is no doubt that the one that would upset us most would be the Philadelphia Eagles. Imagining a secondary that already added Darius Slay also adding Jamal Adams isn’t a whole lot of fun, despite how many receiving options we know the Cowboys to have.

Ranking NFL’s five new head coaches in 2020 by who’s best equipped to navigate uncharted waters – CBS Sports
1. Mike McCarthy, Cowboys. He has the best roster of this bunch, he is the only one bringing a Lombardi Trophy with him and inherits an offense that is loaded in the trenches and at the skill positions. Yeah, if Dak Prescott ends up playing out the 2020 season on the franchise tag, that is suboptimal, and yeah, this defense is probably going to stink again. But McCarthy kept Kellen Moore as the OC after Dak’s breakout season, so that allows for built-in continuity and he has strong and long ties to a lot of his assistants and he plays in a weak division and the playoff field is getting expanded. He could get in the playoffs despite this trying offseason, but there will be wrinkles and hiccups and all of the lost time will matter – especially with Philadelphia experiencing far fewer of those growing pains.

PFF says Redskins need to sign AB, Jason Peters and Larry Warford to give Haskins a chance to succeed – Hogs Haven
Pro Football Focus published an article this week that says, in effect, that Dwayne Haskins is being set up to fail in Washington because the Redskins organization isn’t giving him enough help.
