Target has announced that Shane Dawson’s books will be removed from shelves following allegations of racism against the YouTuber.

Target has announced that among other brands, it will be removing all Shane Dawson products from its shelves, following allegations of racism against the YouTuber.

The supermarket giant currently stocks Shane’s books, including ‘I Hate Myselfie: A Collection of Essays by Shane Dawson’ and ‘It Gets Worse: A Collection of Essays’, and is “in the process of removing” them, after old videos and tweets from the internet star resurfaced.

In recent days, Dawson has been held accountable for using blackface in his work, joking about murdered black teenager Trayvon Martin, and acting inappropriately towards minors.

Although Shane has since released an apology video to address the claims, it seems that brands and fans alike are not letting it slip, and are even calling for a more serious investigation into the 31-year-old.

In a statement announcing the move in support of victims, Target said in an exclusive to Sanders Kennedy: “We’re committed to creating an experience in which all guests feel welcomed and respected. We’re in the process of removing these books from our assortment.”

To Shane Dawson … I’m done with the excuses.

A petition is already in full swing for more brands to take action against him complete with over 11,000 signatures, after he lost 600,000 subscribers since the allegations came to light.

Major brands such as Morphe have already removed products from their website, including Shane’s Conspiracy collaboration with Jeffree Star, who is also hot under the internet’s microscope right now for using the term “Lipstick Nazi” and posing with the Confederate flag in recently resurfaced content.

Celebrities are also distancing themselves from the pair. Jada Pinkett Smith lead the pack after she tweeted “To Shane Dawson … I’m done with the excuses” following a resurfaced video of him pretending to masturbate over a poster of daughter Willow.

Brother, Jaden Smith, also weighed in on the accusations, writing, “SHANE DAWSON I AM DISGUSTED BY YOU. YOU SEXUALIZING AN 11 YEAR OLD GIRL WHO HAPPENS TO BE MY SISTER!!!!!! IS THE FURTHEST THING FROM FUNNY AND NOT OKAY IN THE SLIGHTEST BIT.”
